Great North Run
Date: Sunday 8 September 2024
Registration fee: £63
Minimum sponsorship: £150
Join us for the largest and best half marathon in the world. Set yourself the challenge, join a community of likeminded runners and raise money for out Trust’s charity.
This year we’ve teamed up with NHS organisations around the country to make this the biggest and best Great North Run yet for our runners.
You don’t need to work for us or even be one of our patients, this event is open to everyone. However, you must be 17 before the date of the event.
- You’ll have access to our post-race marquee with free refreshments and massages – your family and friends are invited to celebrate with you
- You will receive exclusive training support with our specialist running partners
- You will have the opportunity to request a charity running T-shirt or vest from us
- All money raised goes straight into supporting our patients and community
- We’re here to support with any questions you have – whether that’s about the run itself, training or fundraising
- You don’t need to be a seasoned runner. The charity will support you in training plans to accommodate all abilities and ambitions

Yorkshire Three Peaks
Date: Saturday 27 April 2024
Registration fee: £50
Minimum sponsorship: £125
The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge is a 24 mile round trip route, and includes 1585 metres of ascent. You will take on the peaks of Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough in under 12 hours.

Scafell Pike sunrise walk
Date: Saturday 1 June 2024
Registration fee: £39
Minimum sponsorship: £125
Climb Scafell Pike, the highest peak in England, at sunrise for an unforgettable experience.
Described as a ‘bucket-list worthy experience’, this trek will see you walking in the early hours of the morning before experiencing the break of dawn from the summit of the highest mountain in England. This walk takes around six hours with a group of people.

National Three Peaks
Date: Saturday 22 June 2024
Registration fee: £400 (this includes your travel and accommodation)
Minimum sponsorship: £200
The National Three Peaks Challenge involves climbing the three highest peaks of Scotland, England and Wales, often within 24 hours. The total walking distance is 23 miles and the total ascent is 3064 metres – twice the ascent of the Yorkshire Three Peaks, over a similar total walking distance.

Hadrian’s Wall trek
Date: Saturday 6 July 2024
Registration fee: £39
Minimum sponsorship: £125
Follow in the footsteps of Romans and trek alongside an ancient monument on a coast to coast walk across northern England.
The Hadrian’s Wall Path is an 84 mile long National Trail stretching coast-to-coast across northern England. You will trek from Wallsend, Newcastle upon Tyne to Bowness-on-Solway in Cumbria on the west coast.
